Eye of London

From the Millennium Bridge, we rode the city bus
(since we failed to find the nearest tube station)
and embarked at the South Bank of River Thames for our next stop:
The Eye of London.

We are a little bit hungry at that time so we quickly passed by
a store to buy something to eat and drink.
We've been walking since morning and it's already 4pm in the afternoon.
We are a bit tired already but there's still other places to go.
We definitely cannot cover the whole of London in one day!
It's already my second time here and we haven't seen all of the must-see sites yet.
Hence, we better get going and bring back those smiles.
:-)

The Eye of London or the Millennium Wheel is the tallest observation ferris wheel
in Europe, and of course, among the most famous attraction in UK.
It used to be the tallest ferris wheel in the world when it was built in 1999
for the coming of the new millennium; this record is now owned by the Singapore flyer.
But I guess, the Eye of London is still the loveliest, and needless to say, the most famous.

Our favorite shots, feeling like a PRO!

Long queue at the wheel!!!
You can save some pounds by purchasing combined tickets
if you also intend to visit other attractions, also cheaper if you buy it online.

But you know what's the surest way to save money?
Find a perfect spot at the ground...sit down... and just stare at the giant wheel,
just what I did!
LOL!

And then get extra close-up shots :-)

The Eye of London, up-close and personal.

Eye of London at Winter time.
I want to close this entry by sharing as well the pictures below of the wheel
taken by Alvin last January 2010 while it it's still winter.
Not as lively as it is during summer time, right?

This is it for the most famous wheel in the world.
