Going Greenwich!

[21 May 2010] After Ashford, we hurriedly drove-off to Greenwich knowing that it is already past three in the afternoon.  Since Greenwich is already in London area, we were unfortunately stuck in a little traffic going there.  And add that to all our missed turns, the Royal Observatory was already closed by the time we got there, huhu...

The Royal Observatory Greenwich
Remember in our elementary days when we were always asked in our exams the question, "In what place does the prime meridian passes through???"  Hehehehe.  That's how we all know Greenwich di ba? And it never crossed our minds, about nineteen years ago or so, that we'll get to see Greenwich out of our Sibika books.

This "the" mark

And here we are, stepping on the prime meridian.
Alvin is standing in East side of the world,
while me is in the West!
Worlds apart?
Not really...

A&R just stood at Longitude Zero!

Did you ever dream to become an astrologer?

Posing happily at the Shepherd Gate Clock,
the first clock to show Greenwich mean time in 1852.

See how this one line already differentiates the world's timezones?

Have you been to two different timezones at exactly the same time?
I just did!

The lovely scene of Greenwich Park and the Queen's House near the River Thames,
as viewed from the Royal Observatory Hill.

That was one sunny afternoon where everyone went to the park
to enjoy the long-awaited heat.

We had so much fun taking these photos!
